At reconnect2thrive, we believe relationships are at the heart of healing, growth and wellbeing.
Together, we bring more than 35 years of combined experience supporting children, young people, families and educators across therapeutic, educational and community settings. While we each bring our own unique experiences, interests and strengths, we share a common philosophy: every child deserves to feel safe, understood and accepted, and meaningful change happens through connection.
Our work is grounded in attachment, child development, neuroscience and the therapeutic power of play. We work alongside children and the important adults in their lives to strengthen relationships, build confidence and create opportunities for children and families to reconnect, grow and thrive.
We feel privileged to walk alongside families during some of their most important moments and are committed to creating compassionate, relationship-based support that honours every family’s unique journey.
Meet Leora
Leora is passionate about helping children and the important adults in their lives build stronger, more connected relationships.
With more than 25 years of experience across early childhood education, family support, professional learning and therapeutic practice, she brings a reflective, relationship-centred approach to every family she works with. Her experience includes supporting children, parents, caregivers, educators and leaders through coaching, mentoring and therapeutic interventions, always recognising that when adults grow in confidence and understanding, children benefit too.
Her practice is grounded in attachment theory, child development, neuroscience and the therapeutic power of play. Alongside therapeutic approaches, Leora thoughtfully integrates movement, mindfulness and yoga where appropriate to support emotional regulation, body awareness and overall wellbeing.
Leora is passionate about creating safe, nurturing spaces where children feel understood, parents feel supported and families can reconnect with themselves and one another.
She holds a Master of Early Childhood Education and is currently completing a Master of Social Work (Professional Qualifying). Leora is also a qualified Interplay Practitioner, children’s yoga teacher, coach and facilitator of Tuning in to Kids.
Leora believes that when children feel understood and the adults around them feel supported, families are better able to reconnect, grow and thrive together.
Meet Oriana
Oriana is passionate about creating safe, nurturing spaces where children can express themselves, discover their authentic selves and strengthen the relationships that help them thrive.
With more than 25 years of experience working alongside children and families, she has supported thousands of children from diverse cultural backgrounds and abilities through early childhood education, therapeutic play, supported playgroups, parenting programs and individual family support.
Her practice is grounded in attachment, interpersonal neurobiology, child development and the therapeutic power of play. She believes that behaviour is a form of communication and that healing happens through safe, trusting relationships. Working closely with both children and their parents, Oriana supports families to better understand one another while fostering emotional resilience, confidence and connection.
Oriana holds a Bachelor of Early Childhood Education, a postgraduate qualification in Play Therapy and is a graduate Interplay Practitioner. She is also trained in the AutPlay Play Therapy Framework, Theraplay, Circle of Security, Circle of Security for Early Childhood Educators and Tuning in to Kids.
As a bilingual practitioner, Oriana is able to provide therapeutic support in both English and Spanish, allowing more families to access services in the language they feel most comfortable using.
Oriana believes every child is a unique seed, deserving of unconditional love, care and the safety to grow into who they truly are. When children are given the space to discover their own voice, families have the opportunity to heal, reconnect and grow together.
